Welcome to my blog!

 Welcome Everyone!!

👩My name is Mia Eifrid. I was born just outside of Detroit, Michigan, but have lived pretty much most of my life in Wesley Chapel, where I currently reside.

📚My major is Health Sciences, with a concentration in Health IT. I worked for almost two years as a patient care coordinator and Infectious Disease Associates of Tampa Bay, which I thoroughly enjoyed. After gaining what I felt like was enough experience in that area, I decided I have a passion for clinical research and have been working towards entering that line of work. I recently have been hired by USF Internal Medicine/Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine as a research support specialist. I cannot wait to start and learn so many new things!!!

💭A few things I think you all should know are (1) I played soccer my entire life up until college, where I decided to focus on education rather than sports, (2) Family is the most important thing in my life- especially my older sister, who is my best friend, and (3) I have a passion for fueling my body with healthy foods and exercising.

📲My favorite social media apps are probably Instagram and Snapchat. I don't necessarily post often, but I like keeping up with those I know, especially those who I've lost touch with after high school. I personally like snapchat for those I am closer with in order to connect on a daily basis.

This is my first ever blog! I am excited to see where it takes me, yet slightly nervous about getting the hang of it. I think the only encounter I've ever had with using/reading blogs is when I search for recipes and find one I like that's been posted by a "foodie" blogger. I feel that blogs are a good way for those with similar interests to connect in other ways than the more mainstream social media apps and an efficient way to share information.

  1. Glad to have you in class Mia!

Don't be nervous about blogging. It is a learning experience for everyone. Even those who do it often can always improve. This is a safe space to practice skills. You may never blog in the future but the things you learn blogging here will apply to other platforms.
